We started a new tradition last year in our family, well, kind of. Last year we tried to make egg shaped rice krispie treats. They didn't take shape, we tried to mold them with our hands and it just ended up melting down to a flat treat because the marshmallow didn't cool down enough to hold the shame. So this year we decided to put the treats in a plastic egg shell and voila!
They were really fun to make. Brisa loved eating these as her snack.
This year we also took picture with the bluebonnets. Here are some pictures of our family in a bluebonnet field. For those of you who don't know, the bluebonnet is the state flower of Texas. We spent a good while in the field and did not end up with too many good pictures. Why? Well, we realized that Ayva really does not like to be awake during nap time and Brisa is really afraid of bees. There were a lot of bees, but they always kept their distance. Apparently, they weren't far enough away for Brisa.
The one family picture that actually worked out. Ayva does not look very happy.
So if you ever come to Texas during this time of the year you HAVE to take a picture in one of the many bluebonnet fields we have. Many of these fields are just on the side of the road.
