Girly Fun

This past month I have had fun playing with Brisa's hair. She loves it when I do stuff to her hair because she sees Mommy doing it. Many of you know that Brisa has curly hair and I know everyone thinks it's cute. Well this might sound bad but I do not like curly hair on my daughter because it is so hard to manage. I have wavy hair and I hate it. I have to blow dry it and straighten it to get it looking nice, otherwise it just looks like I rolled out of bed. With Brisa you have to sit her down and brush the tangles out which causes pain which in turn makes her cry. If this is not done then her curles get all tangled and it looks messy. So this last month I tried several things, two of which I have pictures of.

Here is Brisa with her braids. It's cute what Brisa says when she wants braids. She will come up to me and says, "mom, I want to be gorgeous." Then she goes to Kody and says, "dad, I'm gorgeous." She will only say this when she has braids, it's amazing how they pick up words like this. I don't ususally use the word "gorgeous" so I wonder what cartoon uses this.

These last two are of Brisa with straight hair and I LOVE how she looks. Her hair is really long now, Kody won't let me cut it but that's ok because I think she looks beautiful with long hair. I pulled out my straightner and spent 30 minutes doing her hair. It took a long time to get those curls to go straight, they were stubborn but in the end I won.

We also had fun this last weekend at the BYU opening social. I forgot to take my camera but I took a couple of pictures of Brisa's face painting and her ballon flower.

This is supposed to be a flower but parts of it popped on the way home :(
