Snow...in Houston???

So, this is my (Kody) meager attempt at a blog post. Fina didn't want to post one so I thought I'd give it a shot. When we moved from Utah to Houston I didn't think that I would have a chance at seeing snow during the winter...I was wrong (sort of). I was watching the news on Thursday morning and they said that a snow storm was going to hit the region on Friday, I didn't believe it. Friday came and lo and behold, a "snow storm" had arrived in the area. Little did I know that these weird Houstonians get FREAKED OUT at the sight of anything that resembles snow. Government offices closed down, school district cancelled classes, bus systems had limited routes, etc. I was in the library at the University of Houston trying to do my research paper at 9:45 a.m. when the librarian came over to say that the university would be closing at 11 due to the inclement weather...I was shocked. Anyways, here is a video of the "snow storm" of the century (just as a little side note the news anchor said that it had snowed 35 times in Houston since 1895 so you are witnessing a rare event...enjoy!)

Heya Kody! Nice post! SNOW yay!! The 5 years I was in Cali it snowed once for me. They pretty much did the same thing and shut everything down at the sight of a single snow flake.Yet now I am sitting here looking out my window seeing my car pile up with snow thinking, "Oh boy I get to go to work in this tomorrow" Don't you love the different states reactions to snow! Anyway, Can't wait to see pictures of the little one soon! Hope all is well with the fam! - Jenny aka Little sis!
