For those of you who have not heard we have moved to League City, Texas. League City is 25 miles south East of Houston and 25 miles North West of Galveston. I have a job as a high school math teacher at Clear Creek High School. I love my job, it's been fun teaching the students and not having a professor analyze every word I say and analyze the way I've set up my classroom. I am currently teaching 5 Geometry classes and 1 Algebra 2 class. I'll give you more information about this when I have pictures of my school. What I do have pictures of is of our new apartment.
This is the kitchen, I love all the counter space and cupboard space I have. It's huge compared to what I had at Wymount.

That's all for the apartment pictures.
I wanted to show everyone the beautiful Galveston beach. We wanted to take Brisa out to know the real beach. Before this visit, Brisa's definition of "Beach" was the Seven Peaks water park in Provo, UT. She wanted to wear a bathing suit and didn't understand why she had to wear jeans and a jacket. The temperature on this day was a gorgeous 60 degrees and it was slightly windy. I know the people in Texas thought we were crazy for being at the beach while this cold.
When we got to the beach we quickly saw all of the sea shells, Brisa picked these for her brand new fish we bought her the day before. She had loads of fun doing this. She collected the sea shells in a paint bucket that we bought an hour before at Wal-Mart. We weren't able to buy a bucket and shovel, apparently they only sell those during the summer. You'd think that they would sell beach supplies here in Houston where you can still have 80 degree weather in the winter.

After picking sea shells we decided that we would build a sand castle. The sand was slightly hard to get, we had to dig to get the sand to fill our buckets.
After building our sand castle we decided to take a family picture. This is usually really hard and impossible when you don't have another person there to take the picture for you, but luckily we have a tri-pod and were finally able to take a family picture.
Well, the sand castle didn't last too long. After the family picture Brisa and I decided that we would destroy our castle by stomping on it. This was so much fun!

We had fun at the beach, we finally had to leave because it started to rain. We tried to get all the sand off of our clothes but that is impossible. Our dryer had sand in the lint collector, it was hard to clean. I'm going to have to find a different way to get rid of the sand before taking the clothes in the house, if you have any suggestions please let me know.
Okay, so Kody is making me make this one comment. When we were on our way to Galveston we passed by a cemetery and we noticed that you can smell all of the dead people. You could only smell the cemetery while you were right in front of it. Kody thought that this would be something funny for all of you to read.

FINA! What a wonderful apartment you have. It is beautifl. I hope you are enjoying teaching. That is so exciting. I am glad you guys are settled and everything. I love the family picture with the sand castles. Awesome.
It looks like you had a great time at the beach. We just got back from San Diego. It was an awesome break from Utah snow!
Your apartment is great! I'm feeling very jealous right now. Your closet is as big as our apartment and don't even talk to me about your washer and dryer! :)
Fina! We miss you guys so much! I really am feeling anti-socially now that you guys are gone. But congrads on the apartment. It is beautiful. And I bet it is great to be closer to your family. Allie keeps asking to go and see you guys. Maybe next summer we can come visit you in Texas:) We love you! Take care.
Fina! I should be keeping up on your blog MUCH more often. I had no idea you've posted so much. Once again I'm lagging behind. I love your kitchen, and I'm so glad to hear you are settling in and liking Texas. Way to go on your teaching Job, how exciting and congratulations!
