A trip to the Health Museum & Ayva's first bath

(January 30, 2010)
This week my mother-in-law flew in to stay with us for a week. To start the weekend off we decided to go to the Health Museum.
The Health Museum had an exhibit about "Backyard Monsters." They made these backyard bugs HUGE and they moved. I thought this was a fun exhibit for children. Here are some pictures so you can see just how big these bugs were.
Ayva slept through our trip, she wasn't interested in what was going on around her.
There was a huge exhibit that talked about the human body. This is a skeleton riding a bike. When Brisa pedaled, the skeleton also pedaled. It let kids know what their skeleton looked like when they pedal bikes.
Today was also Ayva's first bath. We've been waiting for umbilical cord to fall, well Brisa has been waiting. She's been praying to Heavenly Father to have Ayva's black thing fall off her belly. So after a long day out at the Museum and the store my two lovely daughters took a bath together. Brisa's been waiting to help mommy with this duty as a big sister.
Ayva enjoyed the bath. She did not cry when we placed her in her bath tub. She was calm when we poured water over her body and just sat there patiently.
Ayva finally cried when we poured water on her head. She did not like that very much at first but then she calmed down and enjoyed the rest of her bath.
Brisa helped mommy wash Ayva's body with soap.
Here is little Ayva nice and clean and wrapped in her little towel.
